I'll be in the Garden Room playing 2x45 sets during this phenomenal event featuring 23 other acts (over 100 musicians total) across the luxurious Old Mill building in Toronto - all super-skilled highly desired talents on one unforgettable night. All a big fundraiser for the great people at Unison Fund - who provide essential services to Canadian musicians who need it. Robert Priest ("The Poet of The People") releases a spoken word album, and celebrates it's launch with a special concert at Hugh's Room Live. He will perform songs from the new recording and also sing songs with his trio, including guitarists Bob Cohen and David Hines. Robert will have several surprise guest musicians and will have books available at the show. The album will be available online.

Opening the festivities: a set from none other than Taylor Abrahamse, the gifted young singer/songwriter who has long championed Hugh's Room. His poignant and playful lyrics are sure to impress fans of Robert Priest. The event is hosted by JAZZ.FM91's Jaymz Bee, who is also the producer of the new album from Robert Priest.

I’m a nonbinary singer/songwriter and voice actor, and I’ve had dozens of lead & supporting roles in cartoon projects seen around the world, including Beyblade (Cartoon Network), Fangbone! (Disney), Bakugan (Netflix), D.N.Ace (Teletoon), Cat In The Hat (PBS), The Stanley Dynamic (YTV), Blues Clues, Top Wing (Nick Jr), and many more. During my Inner-Toon Workout event, you'll get a crash-course on finding your inner-toon while preparing for an imaginary voice audition! I'll provide you script pages, warmups, exercises & guide you every step of the way, ensuring it remains a supportive environment tailored to your needs. You’ll also get a recording of your performance afterward. This event is great for voice actors of all experience levels, even if you’ve never tried before. I’ve led this workshop for hundreds of people, and I also coach one-on-one lessons over Zoom. Some of my students have even booked big voice roles - maybe you too one day! I’m thankful to Diversity Cornwall for bringing me out to lead this special event for you.
